District/Territory Sales Manager - Southern California

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Sales Team, this Position is responsible for selling Tropical Roofing products through roofing distribution channels, contractors, architects, specifiers and consultants.

The individual in this Position must be a highly organized and detail-oriented person with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.  


Job Responsibilities:

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, demonstrate products, using samples or catalog while emphasizing sales features. 
  • On a daily basis, builds relationships with customers, and keeps them informed of Tropical’s new products and systems.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems and finding solutions.
  • Develop new business opportunities, targeting high potential customers
  • Creates a strategy to grow the territory by building long term customer relationships within the roofing industry
  • Coordinates customer training
  • Attends trade shows



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in the building construction industry, preferably the roofing industry
