Pre- treatment with #990 Eternalastic EPDM Primer significantly improves the adhesion of the topcoat to the EPDM rubber membrane.
#9900 Eterna-Sil TPO Primer is intended to be used over aged/existing TPO membranes. #9900 is a green, very thin, watery-like fluid that should be applied only by brush. The coverage rate for this product is intended to be a minimum of 800 ft2 per gallon or 8 squares per gallon. Total wet film application is only 2 wet mils maximum. Spread the product across the substrate until a greenish sheen is no longer visible. The product should dry clear with an undetected or very subtle green tint if installed correctly. Achieving a thinner coverage rate for this product is better for adhesion. This product dries very quickly as it is mostly solvent.
